Today’s word is: Celebrate
Today I celebrate LIFE. After our horrible car accident almost a week ago, I celebrate life. Living. Being alive. We praise God for His protection. His loving care. His grace. But what about when life is ended? Where is protection for life in the womb? How can I celebrate my children living through a car accident when millions of children are not living inside their mothers?
I can celebrate the LIFE of my sweet China-girl. Her first mother gave her LIFE. Choose LIFE for her. Where more abortions are done than any other country, she was given a chance to LIVE. A chance to breathe and grow. A chance at LIFE.
Today I celebrate life. The life of the little girl who lived. Who lived through things I will never know about. Who lived through separation and pain. Who lived in fear and survival. I celebrate a LIFE worthy of love. I celebrate her LIFE.
Because her mother chose LIFE, we get to enjoy her life in our family. Because her mother chose LOVE, I get to love on her. Because her mother chose to celebrate the tiny little person growing inside her. Feeling her move and kick for nine months, I get to see her move and grow feeling her hugs around my neck.
Today I celebrate LIFE. Life of a girl who belongs. A girl, no longer an orphan, but a daughter and sister.
