We have been blessed beyond words by God and by our wonderful birthmothers and fathers who have chosen us to be the parents of our beautiful children. It’s hard to put into words a “thank you” big enough.
The sacrificial love I witnessed in our birthparents takes my breath away. What a beautiful, courageous, and difficult love. They put their child’s life before any of their own feelings, fears, or desires. It truly reminds me of John 15:13: “There is no greater love than this, to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.”
May God bless our dear birthparents. I hope they know how much we are grateful for them, love them, and pray for them everyday.
To our beloved birthparents,
Thank you for your courage and love. I cannot imagine what you’ve been through and how difficult it was for you to choose adoption for your son. But I know from seeing you at the hospital with him that it was because of how much you love him. You are the strongest and bravest person I’ve ever met.
Thank you for choosing life, for choosing love, and for choosing us to raise your son. We are so grateful to you for entrusting us to raise your precious child. Your love and actions – and you! – will never be forgotten. Everyday, we think about you and pray for you. He will always know how much you loved and cared for him – and how you still do.
I’m so grateful we got the chance to meet you and spend time with you. The things you told us we hold very close to our hearts, and we look forward to sharing these with our son when he gets older. You will always be an important part of our family. You are such a blessing to us!
Love and prayers,
The J Family
