Today I’m joining Jennifer for her “Makeover Monday” Series!
As soon as Jennifer asked me what area in my life needed a make-over, I wouldn’t have originally said: Bible study. I though I did pretty good in this area. I studied the Bible. I read my Bible. I took notes. I started Bible Journaling. With colored pens and pencils. Stickers and stamps. I didn’t need a make-over in this area!
On a whim, I purchased Jen Wilkin’s book: Woman of the Word. As I was reading her amazing book, I realized I was doing it ALL WRONG. I focused on what I thought the text was saying and studying the passages that made me feel good. I needed a Bible Study Makeover.
After reading this amazing book, I made notes. Hung them in front of my writing desk. I asked the Lord to come along side me. And I’ve seen such a change in my Bible study. It is a lot slower. More meaningful. More intentional. I’ve learned so much more in just implementing these tips! Here are my tips (taken mostly from Jen’s book!)….Read more here!
