Start the timer for 5 minutes….and begin.
Aware. To know. I did a simple word search in a Bible app for the ESV translation, and almost every entry began with ” But Jesus was aware….” He knew it. He healed them. He spoke to them, taught them, but He also knew them. He was aware of both the malice of the Pharisees and the questions from His followers. He knew their hearts.
For me, it is a great comfort to know my God knows me. To know He sees deep inside my heart. I feel like sometimes my heart is like the sky – so vast and wide open with no edges. But God knows it. Jesus knows it. And He loves me still. I wonder how long I will live before I begin to believe it: Jesus loves me so.
It seems the deeper I dig into Scripture the more I see the truth: Jesus was aware. Jesus knows me, loves me, and is enough for me. Oh the simplicity and beauty of being known. Oh how I need to let those words soak into my heart: Jesus is AWARE of me.
He sees the needs. He really does. And when it feels like He isn’t meeting the needs, not providing the healing or answers, He is aware of all of them. Every. Single. One.
Something special happens in October. A community of bloggers and writers gather for 31 Days of Writing. For an extra little challenge, I’ll be also participating in 31 Days of Five Minute Free Writes.
31 Days of Five Minute Free Writes is a “challenge within the challenge,” so to speak — namely, to post on your blog every day in the month of October, but to write each post in only five minutes flat.
If you are interested in joining the fun, check out Christina’s page here.
Here is the list of the word prompts for 31 Days of Five Minute – Free Writes.
