Start the timer for 5 minutes….START!
It was my word this year, run. To move forward. I didn’t care if it was slow progress, as long as it was progress. At the beginning of the year, I started something new. I began using PowerSheets. It was through this method of goal-setting that I have been moving forward with my writing, my bible study I’m writing (EEEK! YES! I have a Bible study coming out NEXT MONTH!!), and my other adoption goals.
Moving forward is definitely something we all want to do – but don’t get bogged down with how fast you are moving forward. What goals do you have? What do you want to accomplish in the last few weeks of 2016?
Here is your encouragement: keep moving! That’s it. Just take the next step! If you are confused as to what the next step is, I want to encourage you to sit down today with a piece of paper or open your “notes” app in your phone and write your goal. Write out what you want to do. Then, go backwards. What steps do you need to take. Think concrete. Small steps to move forward to meet that goal. Think ONE step at a time. Then, after you have written your steps, look at number one and do it today.
I’d love to hear from you! Write a comment below or send me an email by clicking here. Let me know what you goals are for the rest of 2016. Even if its a small goal, I’d love to hear from you, especially because I want to pray for you1!
Something special happens in October. A community of bloggers and writers gather for 31 Days of Writing. For an extra little challenge, I’ll be also participating in 31 Days of Five Minute Free Writes.
31 Days of Five Minute Free Writes is a “challenge within the challenge,” so to speak — namely, to post on your blog every day in the month of October, but to write each post in only five minutes flat.
If you are interested in joining the fun, check out Christina’s page here.
Here is the list of the word prompts for 31 Days of Five Minute – Free Writes.
Do you struggle finding time to study the Bible?
Do you wish you had more minutes in the day to devote to Bible reading?
What if I told you you could start TODAY in just 5 minutes!?
