Start the timer for 5 minutes….begin.
Post-it notes. I love post-its. It just something about writing my check-list out and posting them on the wall and over my desk. I can cross things off. Peel them off of the counter and throw them away, meaning I’ve done it.
The post-its that are annoying are the ones that stay up for days. Or weeks. Ugh. I wish I could just buckle down and DO THINGS. So many things in my life I just need to get down to business and get done.
Books I want to read. Verses to memorize. Paints laying unused. School ideas I have yet to implement. Maybe that’s why Pinterest overwhelms me sometimes. Its a post-its-lover’s heaven. We can pin and pin, but do we DO these things?
I’m ready. Are you? Let’s get some things DONE. I’m ready to start reading my Bible everyday. I’m ready to spend time in prayer each morning. And I”m ready to start memorizing scripture again. Life gets busy, but the business doesn’t have to crowd out the most important thing.
The most important post-it I could write: the ONE THING is this….
I want to see His beauty. Live in His presence. See His hand in the small and big things. I’m ready! And if you are too, comment below. If you are ready to start your spiritual habits, let’s join hands and start them together.
Sign up for my newsletters and I hope to share some amazing things I’m working on to help us develop good habits. Let’s stop making check lists, and let’s check things off our list! I’m ready. Are you?
It doesn’t have to be complicated. Or expensive. Or even time-consuming. We can study God’s Word, spend time in prayer, and start memorizing Scripture TODAY. I want to serve YOU. What do you struggle with the most when it comes to your spiritual life? I read every comment – and I promise to listen to your response and work towards helping you with it! Something special happens in October. A community of bloggers and writers gather for 31 Days of Writing. For an extra little challenge, I’ll be also participating in 31 Days of Five Minute Free Writes.
31 Days of Five Minute Free Writes is a “challenge within the challenge,” so to speak — namely, to post on your blog every day in the month of October, but to write each post in only five minutes flat.
If you are interested in joining the fun, check out Christina’s page here.
Here is the list of the word prompts for 31 Days of Five Minute – Free Writes.
Do you struggle finding time to study the Bible?
Do you wish you had more minutes in the day to devote to Bible reading?
What if I told you you could start TODAY in just 5 minutes!?
