Start the timer for 5 minutes….and begin writing.
You are the blue in the sky.
You are shimmering green.
You are close, yet sometimes feeling so far.
Planned, prepared, and predestinated me.
Sang the song of sunshine and starlight.
You make the earth and all its fullness praise You.
You whisper my thoughts before I think them.
You hear my heart before I can.
You are closer than a breath.
More beautiful than a fall day.
You never leave and are ever close. Lord God of heaven and earth, I sing a song of YOU. For the entire creation, the entire Bible, and the purpose in life is wrapped around You. I long to know You more. I long to see You more. I wish to feel You more in my life.
My prayer is to live alive, in You.
You are the beginning.
You are the present.
You are the end.
I can rest in the middle of the storm because YOU calm the wind.
I can sit on the edge of something hard because YOU see the end.
I can whisper Your name in the middle of an ordinary day because YOU hear.
I can live loved because YOU are near.
Something special happens in October. A community of bloggers and writers gather for 31 Days of Writing. For an extra little challenge, I’ll be also participating in 31 Days of Five Minute Free Writes.
31 Days of Five Minute Free Writes is a “challenge within the challenge,” so to speak — namely, to post on your blog every day in the month of October, but to write each post in only five minutes flat.
If you are interested in joining the fun, check out Christina’s page here.
Here is the list of the word prompts for 31 Days of Five Minute – Free Writes.
Do you struggle finding time to study the Bible?
Do you wish you had more minutes in the day to devote to Bible reading?
